Brief Bio:

Dear Reader,

Across everything I have done, I consistently aim to create safety and coherence where communication has broken down, through listening beneath behavior and translating what is being communicated, so that others can move from frustration into connection, confidence, and balance.

I have spent my life learning to listen- across species and systems- and translating what is being communicated into language, environments, and practice that allow healing, learning, and relationship to occur. My goal within all work I do is to restore communication and balance between humans, animals, and our shared environment. Within this space, learning, healing, and understanding meet. I hope to continue to translate behavior into understanding, and understanding into positive change to leave all in better alignment.

Below find a brief biography introducing myself to you. My life so far has been

Sincerely,

Robin

About Robin | Great Heights Stable

Robin Pierce’s work sits at the intersection of horses, learning, and whole-being health. Her path has never been linear—but it has always been intentional.

After graduating high school early, she entered early pre-veterinary coursework and internships alongside traditional large-animal veterinarians. Both classwork and field work enabled Robin to begin her adult career grounded in biology, anatomy, and systems thinking. That scientific lens pivoted as behavior called louder than veterinary work. This path led to another early graduation where she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Foreign Languages. While working in a private school that provided cutting edge pedagogies rooted in the latest information from the field of educational neuroscience, she earned a Master of Science in Special Education from Simmons and advanced postgraduate work (CAGS) in reading, learning, and literacy from MGH-IHP. Both programs were unique at the time as the schools partnered with Harvard, MIT, and BU to pool knowledge from the best and brightest together, specifically the biology and neuroscience of how humans learn, regulate, and heal from conception to death.

Throughout college, Robin worked as a special educator and learning specialist. Beginning with at-risk teens in a last-chance center, this opened the door into the world of education, a field she never thought she’d pursue. After life-altering setting, Robin went on to work within both private and public schools, supporting students with language-based learning disabilities, English language learners, and complex learning profiles. Years of creating unique curriculum for comprehension and heading departments at Landmark Elementary School helped hone an ‘out of the box’ mindset for solving complex questions and finding easy answers to dilemmas. Later in life, Robin worked with students remotely in China and currently supports learners in California through a high-end private educational company. Throughout all of these experiences, one theme remained constant: lasting change happens when nervous systems feel safe, supported, and understood.

Horses and animals have been the other constant thread.

Robin grew up immersed in the equestrian world in Hamilton-Wenham, MA—training and riding across disciplines including eventing, dressage, jumping, reining, ranch work, and western dressage. She had incredible opportunities within in high-end show barns, apprenticing with elite riders and Olympians, who recognized her unique ability to connect with difficult horses and took her under their ‘wing’. At the end of high school, Robin was able to intern at a breeding farm where she helped eventually shape the foals into young event horses, and—long before it was common—took on “difficult” horses using non-traditional, relationship-centered approaches. Each challenge became an invitation to learn more deeply: saddle fit, bridling, hoof rehabilitation, barefoot trimming, species-appropriate nutrition, trauma-informed training, positive reinforcement work, and equine-assisted learning methodologies. Robin ended up with certifications in barefoot horse trimming, the EquiScholar program, HorsePowered Reading, Herbalism, and as an Innate Botanical Self-Selections Practitioner. Each new pathway naturally unfolded when Robin was presented with a case that did not have logical answers and she knew she needed to learn more.

When conventional answers fell short—whether for horses, plants, or her own family’s health—Robin expanded her studies into herbal medicine, self-selection practices, homesteading, and energetics. Rather than abandoning science, she followed it further: into complexity, regulation, and the subtle intelligence of living systems. Much of this work felt less like learning something new and more like remembering—and giving herself permission to trust what she had always known through animals.

Today, at Great Heights Stable, Robin brings together science, horsemanship, education, and intuitive awareness into a cohesive, ethical, and deeply practical approach. Her work is not about forcing change, fixing behavior, or applying formulas—it is about creating conditions where animals and humans can reorganize themselves toward soundness, clarity, and connection.

Great Heights Stable exists for those who know there is more—more depth, more nuance, more wisdom in the horse–human relationship—and who are ready to explore it with curiosity, responsibility, and joy.
